ALD has seen its Gold status renewed by EcoVadis, for its performance in CSR commitments internationally

The leasing giant was rated on its sustainable development performance based on 21 criteria and four categories: environment, work environment and human rights, ethics and responsible purchasing practices. These methods and criteria comply with all major international CSR standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000.

The new rating puts the ALD Automotive Group among the top 15% of the most responsible companies in its sector, based on EcoVadis’ scoring system.

The rating complements the work done on a national level. In recent weeks, subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Belgium and Hungary have also been awarded Gold status and Austria and Slovakia have received Silver medals. In total, 13 ALD Automotive subsidiaries have scored Gold or Silver ratings since 2016 (7 Gold and 6 Silver medals).

ALD said the ratings highlight the Group’s focus on the environment and work practices; two of the key pillars of its corporate social responsibility strategy.

Stéphane Rénie, head of corporate social responsibility at ALD, said: “For the group and its subsidiaries, these results are a true recognition of our commitment to CSR. But there is still a lot to do and our ambition is to continuously improve the business practices of our subsidiaries wherever they are in the world, as well as apply our policies to all of our businesses, from the most strategic actions to everyday behaviour.”
