The partnership with Drover enables drivers to access BMW and MINI vehicles on a flexible, monthly all-in subscription basis.

Initially aimed at private drivers but with plans to move into the corporate sector within the next year or sooner, the Drover solution enables drivers to pay a single monthly price that covers the cost of the car itself plus insurance, maintenance, servicing, taxes and breakdown cover without any long-term commitment. Users can also swap, upgrade or downgrade their car payment or cancel altogether.

Customers opting for the Minimum Commitment Subscription – from six months or longer, can also benefit from discounts and the removal of the need to pay large down payments. And drivers can even get discounted fuel at BP stations.

BMW Group is the first OEM on the scheme and joins partners including Europcar, Avis and Hertz. BMW Group models available on the scheme include the Mini Hatch and Countryman as well as the 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 series and the BMW i3 and X3. Vehicles remain owned by BMW.

Chris Brownridge, sales director at BMW Group UK, said: “New, creative solutions allow the chance for car buyers to experience BMW or MINI ownership for as long or as little as they require. BMW Group UK is at the forefront of such development and we are excited to announce a partnership with Drover, the car subscription platform. Through its new subscription model we are able to provide an even wider range of ways to access BMW and MINI vehicles for retail buyers to suit their changing requirements.”
