Making its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the brand’s flagship seven-seat SUV is available for the first time with Kia’s latest Drive Wise Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features, including a new Driver Attention Warning system – which can help combat distracted or drowsy driving – along with a lane-keep assist system, high beam assist and new LED headlamps with Dynamic Bending Light.

Updated technologies also include Kia’s latest 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, with navigation and Kia Connected Services through TomTom, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. The Sorento also features a wireless smartphone charger.

Other changes see the addition of a new GT Line variant, which brings four-lamp LED fog lights, red brake callipers, a more prominent sill step and GT Line badging along with new chrome twin exhaust tip for diesel models.

The updated Sorento also receives a facelift inside and out as well as a new eight-speed automatic transmission that replaces the six-speed auto on the 2.2-litre diesel and brings improved CO2, down from 172 to 159g/km.

The facelifted Kia Sorento goes on sale across Europe from Q4 2017.
