The company, which runs the annual International Fleet Meeting at Geneva, has expanded its existing network of fleet experts in Europe and South America into North America, Asia, the Pacific and Africa with the appointment of additional partners. The move brings proven experts in fleet management in these regions who have many years of experience in this segment and means that customers operating fleets globally can now be supported worldwide.

The company also said a key success factor is its combination of local expertise and know-how with a central project management to efficiently support customers in achieving their international goals.

The group announced the expansion as it noted an enormous demand for international consulting services on the part of the fleet operators in the past year. Projects were carried out for fleets with a total volume of more than 25,000 vehicles, and ranged from the analysis of potential tenders for the selection of vehicle manufacturers, leasing companies and fleet management service providers, as well as the implementation of project results. In addition, the firm said it was getting increasing requests for projects to develop international car policies.

According to Thilo v Ulmenstein, managing partner Fleetcompetence Group, the demand reflects a clear market trend, in particular for large international companies but also a growing number of medium-sized businesses, as they recognise the potential in the internationalisation of their fleet strategy.

Latest projects currently being undertaken by Fleetcompetence include support with the complete conversion of an international fleet to e-vehicles for the first time.
