Italian State Police deploys Jeep and Alfa Romeo fleet

The Italian State Police has taken delivery of the first in a number of new Jeep and Alfa Romeo fleet vehicles.161212_ic_flotta_01

The Jeep Renegade and Alfa Romeo Giulietta models were handed over to the fleets of the Crime Prevention Unit and of Police Stations. A new Giulia Veloce, with a Highway Patrol outfit, which will become the official convoy outrunner, was also presented.

The Italian Police is deploying the Jeep Renegade 2.0 Multjet 4×4 120 HP Sport along with the 1.6 Multjet 120 HP version of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

The vehicles also include two Giulia Veloces in Highway Patrol outfit with 2.0 turbo petrol 280hp engines., which have been provided on loan-for-use basis and will be used as official convoy outrunners.

The FCA Group has supplied a number of vehicles over 2016 to the Italian Police, including the five-door Fiat Tipo for prefectures and police headquarters, Fiat Panda 4×4 and Fiat Punto for police stations, Scudo and Doblò for dog units, and the Fiat Professional Ducato for transporting passengers and goods.
