Mazda Sales Thailand to resume production after severe flooding

Choichi Yuki, managing director of MST, commented: ‘Mazda's business in Thailand as well as related businesses needs to resume operation as soon as possible – this will help maintain the supply in the Thai auto market. Last month there were clear signs of demand for automobiles in the country, and Mazda enjoyed a year on year growth of 23.8% in October with sales of 3,284 units, enabling us to capture a historic 7.7% market share. The resumption of the New Mazda2 and All New Mazda3 2.0L production on November 14 will help us deliver vehicles to customers in time.'

Despite recent events, Mazda Sales Thailand still managed to maintain the highest level of growth throughout October, with sales of 3,284 units, an increase of 23.8% compared to the same month last year where only 2,652 vehicles were sold.

October sales comprised of the Mazda2 ELEGANCE 4-door sedan (1,335), Mazda2 SPORTS 5-door hatchback (953), Mazda BT-50 pickup which (768) which is up 26.1% and the Mazda3 which (228).
