Under the partnership, fleets can access vehicle management services via the Masternaut Connect platform, which gives real-time visibility into vehicle locations and journeys along with smart reports on driver behaviour, timesheets, vehicle utilisation, and routes. Customers can add an in-cab driving coach that provides immediate feedback and has been shown to reduce speeding by up to 70%.

Dhruv Parekh, CEO of Masternaut, outlined his view that pre-installed telematics is a game changer: “The telematics industry has witnessed impressive growth in recent years, but many companies still want easier installation. Despite its proven benefits, telematics is still only installed in a 10th of European commercial vehicles. We are proud to partner exclusively with Opel and Vauxhall to bring Masternaut’s leading technology to market in a simple and efficient way.”

The partnership makes Opel the second OEM to partner with Masternaut, following PSA Group’s Peugeot, Citroën and DS, with the service available in the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
