Marc Schomburg, currently European leasing and residual value operations manager, becomes European leasing and TCO Manager and will assume responsibility for European leasing in addition to his current role.

At the same time, Dennis Rachow, currently European fleet marketing manager, will assume the position of European corporate account manager.

Both will report to Juan Manuel Sagardoy, director pan European corporate sales and leasing.

Mr Schomburg joined General Motors Europe from Volkswagen in 2008 where he had been residual value manager at Volkswagen Group Fleet Remarketing.

His first role with General Motors Europe was as European residual values manager starting in May 2008, and in 2011 he was appointed European leasing and residual values msanager for Opel.

In his extended new role, Mr Schomburg will now be also responsible for establishing and maintaining the relationship with the main European leasing companies.

Dennis Rachow started at Opel in 2007 and has held a number of management positions within Opel Fleet.

These have included that of European residual value analyst involved in monitoring residual value trends and developments across Europe, in support of pan-European residual value management and in collaboration with various residual value guide books, a post he held for two years.

As Opel’s European fleet marketing manager he was responsible for fleet events and communications, representing the fleet requirement within Opel’s marketing organisation.

In his new role, Mr Rachow will be responsible for working with and supporting Opel’s pan-European corporate customers, especially those with European headquarters in German speaking countries.

Juan Manual Sagardoy welcomed the two new appointments and the strengthening of the Opel Fleet corporate team.

‘The appointments of Marc and Dennis will add two highly experienced members to our senior team within Opel fleet and help us further develop our relationships with European leasing companies and our key fleet customers,’ he said.
