PSA ventures into peer-to-peer used car market

Launched in line with the carmaker’s ambition to become its customers’ preferred mobility supplier, as laid out in the Push to Pass strategic plan, the Carventura.com site will target the country’s peer-to-peer market – said by PSA to be the largest car market in the country with more than 3.8 million used cars sold every year but also the least secure.

The site will offer an Advisor service to assess the fair market value of used vehicles as well as online ad options and payment tools. It will also bring a six-month mechanical breakdown warranty with future services to cover vehicle trade‑ins and financing as well as insurance, maintenance and reconditioning.

Marc Lechantre, vice president of Groupe PSA’s Used Car Business Unit, said: “Our strategy is to support all customers in their car-related mobility project, through our brand networks, multi-brand e-commerce platforms and now peer-to-peer marketplaces.”
