Sixt customers are now able to book Addison Lee Group’s mobility services through the Sixt app.

The Sixt ‘One’ app will initially offer bookings for Addison Lee’s mobility services in London before rolling out to other markets

The move comes as Sixt unites its mobility services under a single MaaS platform, said to be a world first. The ‘One’ app integrates the firm’s car rental (Sixt rent), car sharing (Sixt share) and the ride-hailing/taxi (Sixt ride) products and enables customers to book and pay for services online.

The partnership with Addison Lee will mean that Sixt app users can access the firm’s private hire and chauffeur services, initially starting in London, with a phased global roll-out due later this year; the firm operates in 350 locations, and across 83 countries, providing a fleet of vehicles equipped with free 4G WiFi and phone chargers as well as air conditioning and privacy glass.

The service available on the app can be used for day-to-day journeys, special occasions and events, either with Addison Lee Group’s premium vehicles, or via their luxury Executive Service offering. Benefits include fixed journey prices, even during peak times, easy billing and payment online, as well as punctual pick-up and arrival at the desired destination.

Robert McGinn, chief commercial officer at Addison Lee Group, said: “This partnership brings together two premium brands to provide pre-book and on-demand transport services to corporate and consumer customers in London, and eventually in other major cities across the globe. SIXT is one of the largest integrated mobility players with a key focus on tech adoption and integration across their booking platform – they are a perfect partner to provide seamless travel and excellent customer experience to our network of global customers.”

Vinzenz Pflanz, senior vice president of group sales at Sixt SE, added: “Through our partnership with Addison Lee Group, we meet the needs of private and business travellers for transparent and flexible mobility. Travel managers in particular want a high level of transparency regarding their employees’ mobility. That is why we work actively with them and pursue our goal of facilitating worldwide transfers and rental car products over a booking channel that takes travel policies into account. Our cooperation with Addison Lee Group is another important building block in our strategy.”
