Karhoo teams up with SNCF for enhanced mobility services

Passengers using French national rail services from SNCF Mobilités can now book taxis/private hire vehicles through the Karhoo platform to bring a door-to-door service.

The ‘Mon Chauffeur’ platform enables SNCF travellers to book journeys by taxi or private hire vehicle

Dubbed ‘Mon Chauffeur’, the service can be accessed through the OUI.sncf app or website and enables travellers on SNCF’s TGV high-speed trains to book first and last-mile journeys by taxi or private hire vehicle, drawing on Karhoo’s network of 150 fleets in France.

The platform includes real-time cost comparison and enables passengers to book their ride either in advance when purchasing train tickets or on the move by connecting to the train’s WiFi.

Benefits of the service include a guaranteed reservation and no queuing, with drivers waiting for customers at a designated meeting point and adapting to possible schedule changes if needed.

The service has launched in 25 stations across France and will be extended throughout 2019; it’s expected to expand to around a few thousand journeys per day in 2019.

Boris Pilichowski, co-CEO Karhoo, said: “The Mon Chauffeur service marks a milestone moment for Karhoo and the mobility sector. Enabling door-to-door transport for SNCF customers takes us a step closer to a truly integrated network while improving the passenger experience tenfold.”
