Lieutenant-Colonel (retired) Katherine Vigneau spent over 26 years in the Canadian Army holding various positions in logistics and transportation in Canada and abroad.

From 1998 to 2001 she was fleet manager for the Department of National Defence, responsible for policy oversight and management of a fleet of 32,000 vehicles. Katherine retired from the military in October 2010 to open her own business, KMVS Fleet+ Consulting and has spent more than nine successful years in business serving clients such as NAFA, NATO, the United Nations, the Canadian military, and other government and corporate organisations.

She is a regular columnist for Canada’s Fleet Digest where she writes about fleet and training and development issues. She is currently the Director of Professional Development for NAFA Fleet Management Association where she is responsible for content management of all NAFA education and certification programs.
