LeasePlan Deutschland is offering EVs including the Tesla Model 3 on flexible long-term rental

The solution currently covers the Tesla Model 3 and Model S, Nissan Leaf and the Maxus EV80, with further vehicles to be added. Vehicles are supplied with a Charge Card and Charge App as well as the LeasePlan ‘Tankkarte’ for purchasing car washes and small items.

LeasePlan is also working with charging solutions provider Allego to offer the deployment of charging stations at customers’ offices. This can be carried out for customers even without renting a vehicle.

Commenting on the scheme, Dieter Jacobs, head of fleet management at LeasePlan Germany: “Currently, long-term rental is a very good way forward for companies to gather information about electric mobility with various categories of electric vehicles. Long-term rental is becoming increasingly popular when companies want to react flexibly to personal or time requirements. These include, for example, the assignment of a company car to a staff member during the probationary period, the bridging of the time until the delivery of the company car, project work and assignments of employees as well as order spikes in certain industries.”
