Melanie Schillinger named new COO at Alphabet International

Alphabet International has appointed Melanie Schillinger as chief operations officer with effect from 1 September.

The role will see Ms Schillinger succeed Jules Blijde – who will continue his career within the BMW Group – taking charge of IT, business process management and operations of all 19 Alphabet markets covering Europe, Australia and China.

She brings 25 years’ experience within various divisions of the BMW Group, starting her career at BMW Bank in Munich in 1992 in roles within operations, banking and quality management as well as customer support in leasing and financing and as head of customer service for the direct banking division. Ms Schillinger subsequently moved into the Corporate Quality division of BMW and for the past two years, she has headed up finance and shared services at the BMW Welt.
