New platform allows multiple mobility services to be run from one fleet

A new mobility management platform has been developed that enables firms such as OEMs and rental or leasing companies to offer multiple mobility services from a single fleet.

The Multi-Service Fleet Platform has been developed by Israel-based smart mobility platform provider Fleetonomy and means that clients can choose whether to launch a single mobility service or manage all services simultaneously on a demand basis; from ride-sharing to dynamic shuttles, on-demand rental, car subscription services, and autonomous fleet operations.

Claimed benefits of the new solution, which debuts at next week’s MOVE 2019 event in London, include minimising idle time and maximising vehicle usage. The platform also includes advanced prediction engines that allow accurate demand prediction for each service, the time it will take for each vehicle to be delivered to end-users, matching each vehicle to customer needs, easily managing flip requests and operating efficiently according to data-driven insights.

Israel Duanis, co-founder and CEO of Fleetonomy, said: “By running a multi-service fleet, mobility service providers can now refocus their business from vehicle-based services to demand-based services that are focused on predicting customer preferences. When service providers can predict what their end-users want, they will be able to accurately allocate each vehicle to the service that is most profitable for the business. Then, ideally, service providers will be able to manage a multi-service fleet that focuses solely on optimising utilisation and revenue.”
