The routing and scheduling software specialist already runs an operation in Dallas, Texas, and will use the new office in Manchester, New Hampshire to further enhance its work with commercial fleet operators in the US, South America and Canada.

The firm’s software can be used plan more efficient routes, taking into account parameters such as individual driver availability, rush-hour conditions and unloading times, while also reducing time taken and miles driven; Paragon claims it can help reduce fleet operating costs by as much as 10-30%. Proof of Delivery solutions and Live Management software help further streamline fleet operations and improve fleet visibility and customer service.

The software can also help with specific US market issues, where there is a shrinking driver pool, rising freight rates and increasing demand for more frequent, precisely-timed deliveries, and deal with specific challenges, including congestion and restricted access in the densely populated cities across the Northeast region.

Managing director William Salter said: “The Northeast is a challenging market for product distribution, where businesses face the daily challenge of serving dense urban and suburban centres. That alone justified a move into the Northeast, to take advantage of new opportunities, as well as looking after existing customers.”
