Shell acquires 15% stake in Toll4Europe

EuroShell Cards BV, part of the Shell Group, has acquired 15% of electronic european toll service provider Toll4Europe.

The acquisition will provide euroShell card customers with a technology to enable digital toll payments and mobility services across all EU countries

The deal will mean open up digital toll payments and mobility services across all EU countries for euroShell card customers.

The move will mean that Daimler AG, DKV Euro Service GmbH + Co KG and euroShell will each hold 15% of the shares of the company while T-Systems, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG, will continue to lead the venture and hold 55% of the shares.

The acquisition is subject to competition clearance.
