Sygic platform could aid development of traffic management apps

A new Smart Mobility Platform that could be used to develop integrated traffic management apps within cities has launched from Sygic.

Sygic’s platform offers local traffic authorities the ability to roll out central navigation and traffic management apps that monitor and optimise commuters’ use of public and personal transport – from cars to bicycles, to public transport services. The platform also enables the development of more traditional mobility apps for commuters to help avoid congestion.

The platform is based on data from Sygic mobile app users to provide real-time predictions of traffic levels, commuter behaviour analysis and forecasts of possible scenarios.
