Like the current model, the facelifted C4 brings a 2.61m wheelbase, split foldback rear seats, and a boot volume of 408 litres, said to set the standard in this segment.

The facelifted model adds in new exterior design features including new LED headlights and 3D-effect tail lights plus extra chrome detailing on the front and rear bumpers and new 17-inch alloys.

Inside, there are new upholstery materials and a simpler dashboard featuring a new centrally located seven-inch touch screen.

The new C4 also brings increased comfort with acoustic features, an optional massaging front seat, and a panoramic glass roof equipped with electric blind.

Technologies see the introduction of the hands-free keyless entry and start, while the new seven-inch touch screen groups all the media and navigation functions. Features designed to simplify driving include Hill Start Assist, Intelligent Traction Control and the Blind Spot Monitoring system.

Depending on the market, the C4 will also offer the Citroën Connect Box including the emergency call and assistance system, a virtual servicing manual and an Eco-Driving service, all accessible over the internet. Safety technology includes the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and the ultrasonic Blind Spot Monitoring System.

The latest model also brings new Euro 6-compliant engines in the form of two PureTech petrol engines and three BlueHDi Diesel engines.

Following the PureTech 130 S&S 6-speed manual turbocharged unit introduced last March, two new engines have been added to the C4 Range: the PureTech 110 manual gearbox and the PureTech 130 S&S EAT6 gearbox.

Based on the three-cylinder architecture of the naturally aspirated engines in the PureTech family, the PureTech 110 manual gearbox engine brings 110PS and torque of 205 Nm at 1,750rpm along with 4.7l/100 km and 110g/km with ultra low rolling resistance tyres.

The PureTech 130 S&S with the EAT6 six-speed automatic gearbox engine delivers 130PS and torque of 230 Nm at 1,750rpm.

Combined with the Stop & Start technology thanks to the addition of an internal electric pump, the PureTech 130 S&S EAT6 reduces the consumption of the C4 range to 4.8l/100 km and CO2emissions down by 49g, compared with the VTi 120 BVA4 four-speed manual gearbox it replaces, to 110g/km with ultra low rolling resistance tyres.

Diesel engines comprise the BlueHDi 100 Diesel with a manual gearbox, the BlueHDi 100 S&S with a manual gearbox, and the BlueHDi 120 S&S with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

These bring respectively 99PS and 120PS with increased torque at 1,750 rpm of 254Nm for the BlueHDi 100 manual unit and 300Nm for the BlueHDi 120 S&S 6-speed manual unit.

The most efficient version of the BlueHDi 100 S&S manual gearbox on the range delivers combined-cycle consumption of 3.3l/100km with ultra low rolling resistance tyres and CO2emissions of 86g/km.

The BlueHDi 120 S&S with a six-speed manual gearbox delivers combined cycle consumption of 3.6l/100km and CO2emissions of 93g/km with ultra low rolling resistance tyres.
