Taking place on 29 March 2022 at Novotel London West in Hammersmith, the free-to-attend event combines a three-in-one line-up of insightful Masterclass conference sessions, an informative exhibition section and the afternoon’s Great British Fleet Awards.

Highlights already revealed include a talk by Natasha Robinson, joint head of the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV), who will speak on ‘Decarbonising the Fleet’, including the challenge of moving fleets to EVs, the Government’s incentives to support this and its work on new regulations on charge points, ensuring it’s easier and simpler for people to go electric.

In a separate talk, Ian Featherstone – account manager supply chain, transport England team at the Energy Saving Trust – will look at getting fleets fully up to speed and ready for the 2030 ICE vehicle deadline.

Alongside Natasha and Ian, a wealth of other expert speakers will discuss the fleet EV challenges and opportunities. These include Catherine Bowen, senior policy advisor at the BVRLA, who will speak on ‘Charging up the Fleet’ and look at the wide array of fleet charging needs, available options and the challenges the sector is facing in order to keep zero-emission vehicles sufficiently fuelled.

Meanwhile, David Watts, Arrival Automotive UK Limited’s commercial manager (UK & Ireland), will reveal the secrets of a positive framework for EVs.

And Alex Potts, head of sales at BP Pulse, will talk on ‘Transitioning to an Electric Fleet’.

Telematics and connected cars will also come under focus; Paul Tarsey, IoT solutions consultant at Aeris, will provide insights on optimising results from your telematics and connectivity provider.

The subject of ‘Making telematics work: now and in the future’ is to come under the spotlight by Trakm8’s Matthew Newman, enterprise sales manager, at the show.

Safety and fleet risk management is another complex area that will also be spotlighted. Simon Turner, campaign manager at Driving for Better Business, will explore how the pandemic has radically changed duty of care requirements and what fleets should be doing.

In addition, van safety will come under the microscope in an in-depth talk from Rebecca Ashton, head of policy and research at IAM RoadSmart. Rebecca will look at the growing number of van drivers on the UK’s roads and how familiarisation training and van-focused driver safety policies can help avoid safety issues.

These are just some of the many highlights of the show, which will also feature a lively exhibition section that will enable visitors to discuss their own challenges and find the latest solutions.

And in the afternoon, the prestigious Great British Fleet Awards will reveal the fleet managers, service firms and manufacturers at the forefront of the sector.
