ACEA “Truck of the future” website to support innovations in fuel efficiency and safety

By / 11 years ago / News / No Comments

Located at http://truckofthefuture.eu/, the site looks at why the commercial vehicle industry is vital to Europe’s economy and addresses the issue of how truck manufacturers can go further with innovations in fuel efficiency and safety.

The ACEA adds that there is no one single answer to this question, but rather a combination of solutions. These include further development of vehicle technologies, more flexible and aerodynamic design, improved driver training, intelligent infrastructure and logistics, and the availability of alternative fuels.

The website has been launched to support the ACEA policy event “The Truck of the Future: Innovative, Fuel-efficient, Safe”, which will be held on 5th December from 13.30 to 17.30 in Brussels.

The website will be used to host latest developments and articles on the subject as well as an online debate, which will be launched in the second week of November.
