Online car auction company ADESA has consolidated its individual market platforms into a new integrated solution at adesa.eu.

Johan Meyssen, CEO at ADESA Europe

The amalgamation of the ADESA GWListe German platform and ADESA Upstream UK platforms brings a unified experience that enables customers to check across the entire range, spanning more than 4,000 auctions every day and over 100,000 registered dealers ready to trade. Users are also still able to benefit from a country-specific experience thanks to customisable filters.

The integration ties in with work by ADESA Europe to offer a better user experience for all customers in Europe who use its platform to buy or sell cars, whether they’re from the UK or Continental Europe.

CEO Johan Meyssen explained: “Simplicity is our biggest motivator for this integration. Our integrated European platform provides an easy, fast and hassle-free way to trade cars online. What does this mean? All customers have only one partner to deal with, all the cars are available from one high-performing platform, which also gives access to innovative digital solutions, and we also take care of all the hard work. We handle everything from inspection to auction and delivery.”

The move brings multiple benefits to German and UK customers, while ensuring they receive the same high level of service as before.

Jonathan Holland, managing director at ADESA UK, continued: “With the integration, UK customers now have immediate access to proven technology and applications already largely enjoyed by ADESA Europe customers.

“Our UK customers will enjoy a new and improved customer experience. When UK users log in to the mobile-friendly, ‘always-on’ ADESA website, filters will be applied to automatically show UK vehicles. I’m sure they will be very excited about the benefits the new platform brings. They will see more vehicle information, the cars are better presented and it’s easier to browse for vehicles. The fees and VAT are transparently indicated, and bids and purchases can be tracked in a very easy way.”

Tim Hochgreef, country manager at ADESA Germany, picked up: “Our ADESA GWListe customers will particularly appreciate the new range of tools and features. Think of the ADESA Inspect app, the ADESA Sell dealer portal or soon the community auctions and a brand-new negotiation feature. These solutions will provide more opportunities for buyers and sellers to close deals.”
