Thomson will focus on strengthening key partnerships and recruiting more leasing companies, fleets, OEMs and dealers to its digital-only Upstream remarketing platform.

Thomson joins the specialist online vehicle remarketing provider from BCA where he was sales and operations director for Scotland. Prior to this he was national operations director for SMA Vehicle Remarketing.

“Eddie is a highly experienced remarketing professional who will help accelerate ADESA UK’s digital remarketing strategy and create a more engaging marketplace for buyers and sellers,” said Jonathan Holland, managing director of ADESA UK.

“For ADESA UK, strengthening our remarketing partnerships means more opportunity and more inventory for dealers to source fresh stock for their forecourts,” he continued.

Thomson commented: “I’ve seen ADESA UK grow over recent years and take the lead in digital remarketing in terms of technology and customer service, so I relish this opportunity to work at the cutting-edge of digital remarketing at a time when transacting online has become the new default route for vendors and buyers.”
