AFP on hand to talk all things fleet at 2025 GBFE

The Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP) will return to the Great British Fleet Event for 2025 to showcase its work to connect, support and educate the corporate fleet sector.

AFP board members will be on hand throughout GBFE

At the 2025 GBFE, which takes place on Thursday 8 May at the MK Arena in Milton Keynes, members of the board will be on hand for people to chat with, ask advice and find out how AFP supports fleet operators, while also providing essential insights in the Masterclass conference programme.

The industry association is also on hand to discuss its main focuses for 2025 as it pushes ahead with new initiatives for the next 12 months and beyond.

Work includes a continued drive to make EV charging more accessible for fleets – in particular van users. The AFP already tracks high areas of fleet demand for kerbside charging via its national map – and this will be updated and enhanced this year.

The not-for-profit body will also move forward with its shared charging platform. This will enable fleets that need charging to find operators that have spare capacity at their premises and make commercial arrangements.

The AFP is also continuing its work to enable fleets to transition to electric vehicles via the Zero Emission Van Plan. The industry joint initiative calls for increased fiscal support, improved charging and regulatory change to remove barriers to eLCV adoption by fleets.

You can also ask the team about the wide range of industry-leading courses they offer through the fleet body’s AFP Academy training arm – which is running a record number of training days in 2025, following soaring demand in 2024 and the launch of a network of training venues.

As well as being on hand in the exhibition section at GBFE 2025, the AFP will be speaking on latest fleet developments in the Masterclass conferences. More details will be announced closer to the event.

The association will also lend its support to the evening’s Great British Fleet Awards, sponsoring the Fleet Initiative Superstar accolade, which is now open for entries along with the rest of the fleet manager awards and fleet supplier titles.

The new initiatives further the existing work by the AFP to improve market conditions for everyone involved in running a corporate fleet in the UK and encourage the development of both the current and next generation of fleet leaders.

The not-for-profit body has also just kicked off a public sector working group that brings public sector fleet operators together on a quarterly basis to discuss the unique issues affecting their fleets.

The AFP is the latest fleet organisation to sign up to the 2025 Great British Fleet Event. As with previous years, the show blends a line-up of informative Masterclass conference sessions, a busy exhibition section and networking, followed by the evening’s black-tie gala dinner.
