Allianz is expanding its roadside assistance offering to mobility providers, fleet owners, banks and insurers

The business, which already works with over 50 car manufacturers and handled 10.5 million roadside assistance cases globally in 2023, says it’s well placed to offer “a very compelling alternative” to potential UK partners.

The new products are based on three levels of cover: breakdown, accident and breakdown and accident combined. Each of these cover levels can be further customised to suit the needs of business partners and their customers. The offering is backed by a fully digital platform, which business partners can integrate into their own online services.

The roadside assistance service is supported by Allianz Partners’ own fleet of vans and skilled in-house technicians, able to fix nine out of 10 cars they attend at the roadside, according to company figures,

Marcus Latchford, chief sales and distribution officer for Allianz Partners UK and Ireland, said: “The assistance capabilities we’ve developed globally, combined with our scale and unrivalled experience of working with OEMs, makes us well placed to offer a very compelling alternative to potential UK partners.”

Alongside the launch of its new products, Allianz Partners has signed a new partnership with car-sharing app Turo.

Every journey booked through Turo in the UK now includes roadside assistance, repair and recovery.

Marcus Latchford, chief sales and distribution officer for Allianz Partners UK and Ireland, said: “Our new strategic approach in roadside assistance is encapsulated in our partnership with Turo, where our assistance support will be available to every customer using the Turo app. We’re on the cusp of a revolution in mobility, Turo is a true innovator in this space and is bringing a new approach to mobility. We are delighted to partner with them.”
