Alphabet Italia appoints new CEO

Alphabet Italia has named Andrea Castronovo as its new chief executive officer, effective 1 February 2018.

Mr Castronovo started his career at the BMW Group in 2007 as CEO of BMW Italy and also held the role of CEO of BMW Group Central & Eastern Europe prior to his current position of group vice president, sales strategy, planning, steering and future retail. He has also worked for Ferrari and Renault in various management positions.

He succeeds Andrea Cardinali, who has decided to follow new professional opportunities, according to Alphabet. A company spokesperson said of Mr Cardinali’s departure: “We would like to thank him for his contribution to the Alphabet success and wish him all the best for the future.”
