Launched in 2009, MotorTrade (www.motortrade.arval.com) had already sold 100,000 cars by the end of August 2011 and has reinforced its meteoric success by doubling sales in one year.

The used car platform is already deployed in 13 countries and is used by customers in 49 countries on five continents. Arval has also announced that MotorTrade will soon be launched in the Netherlands, Poland and the Czech Republic.

‘Exceeding the 200,000 mark in a so short time in this kind of market conditions is a real achievement. MotorTrade thereby proves that it is an efficient tool that is ideally suited to professionals in the used car sector,’ said Christophe Conegero, head of remarketing at Arval.

MotorTrade offers a huge number and a broad range of used vehicles, from 24 to 60 months in age, of all makes, all categories (passenger or light commercial vehicles) and all engine types. Cars can be sold 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on the website, through two purchasing methods: immediate sale at a fixed price, or online bidding.

Quick registration, easy use, and the continuous introduction of new services specifically designed for professionals also help ensure the platform's success and the loyalty of its registered dealers.

No middleman commission also means savings for buyers, since Arval sells cars directly on the platform.

‘We offer our professional customers the possibility to buy vehicles of all types commission-free, on a remote basis. This works because we provide them with full information based on transparent assessments by independent companies. MotorTrade is growing thanks to the trust that our customers put in us, and this trust is something to be earned,’ Mr Conegero added.
