Banco Santander chooses Hyundai as key fleet supplier

The vehicles will be delivered over the next two years. By the end of 2012, 300 units will have been delivered through the Hyundai dealer network. The model chosen by the bank is the Hyundai ix20 1.6 CRDi Comfort 115hp.

The ceremony was presided over by leaders of both entities, including Banco Santander general manager and head of commercial banking Spain, D. Enrique García Candelas, and the general manager and head of human resources D. José Luis Gómez Alciturri.

Representing Hyundai were senior vice-president and COO of Hyundai Motor Europe, Allan Rushforth, Hyundai's president in Spain, Mr. James Jin Kim, and CEO, D. Diego Gutierrez-Colomer.

The managers of Banco Santander have stressed "the great quality and design of the new vehicles purchased, perfectly fulfilling our expectations and needs."

Allan Rushforth commented: "The latest deal with Santander is testament to the compelling proposition presented by Hyundai vehicles. Banco Santander is the largest bank in the euro zone, and we’re very happy to be supplying vehicles that have been designed, engineered and built in Europe, for European consumers."
