UK-based transport solutions firm Basemap has launched its EVR Electric Vehicle Routing software in North America.

EVR is an AI-driven API and software tool designed to ensure best routes and guaranteed range for electric delivery vehicles and mixed fleet

Debuted at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada, EVR is an AI-driven API and software tool designed to ensure best routes and guaranteed range for electric delivery vehicles and mixed fleets.

Aimed at van and truck fleets, the software tool takes into account all of the elements which affect range, such as temperature, package weight and road elevation to identify the best routes and guaranteed range.

It can also work with mixed fleets and can be used to identify the potential cost and emission savings for ICE vehicles.

The software tool is currently undergoing beta testing with customers in North America, Europe and Australia.

Dan Saunders, head of products at Basemap, said: “The response to this product has been overwhelming, clients from Telematics device providers, fleet managers and logistics operators have seen the opportunity this provides them to guarantee range and generate fast, accurate routing for electric vehicles.”
