‘We are really pleased to welcome Brian to our team,’ said Craig Neuber, director of strategic consulting for the global fleet services provider. ‘Brian has an impressive range of experience with regard to environmental issues. The perspective and knowledge he brings to the table will support ARI’s on-going commitment to implementing sustainable business practices and will deliver real value for our clients who are looking to make their fleets more environmentally friendly.’

Prior to joining ARI, Mr Matuszewski worked as a project strategist for the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Sustainable Materials Management programme and as an analyst for a consulting firm in Mexico City, Mexico, where he conducted environmental policy research on sustainable development initiatives for governments and multinational corporations. He has also held positions with Bloomberg and with Banco Itaú in São Paulo, Brazil.

In a statement the company said: ‘ARI has long been committed to environmental stewardship via sound business practices. The company’s operating philosophy focuses on minimising waste and pollution while providing a safe and healthy workplace. ARI also seeks to implement best practices to ensure the company’s fleet management operations are having a minimal impact on the environment. ARI also works with customers to help them develop and operate fleets that are environmentally responsible by identifying opportunities to reduce fuel consumption, integrate alternative fuels, positively modify driver behaviour, measure emissions and verify regulatory compliance.’
