The new role forms part of the company’s ongoing European expansion and follows its recent appointments of country directors for Norway, Spain, Portugal, Finland, along with the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Headquartered in Sweden, Charge Amps provides electric vehicle charging solutions for European homes, offices and public spaces, and says it’s on a mission to facilitate the growing demand for charging infrastructure and solutions, as countries across Europe work towards the phasing out of internal combustion engine-vehicles.

Van der Eerden brings over 20 years of experience driving sales growth in Western European markets. Her background includes senior positions across the EV and wider automotive industries, including as director for fleet sales and leasing for Hyundai Motor Netherlands. More recently, she led the Benelux business for EVBox as regional director.

Commenting on her new role, she said: “Having experienced all the ins and outs in this industry from Amsterdam – the ‘Silicon Valley of EV Charging’ – during the last few years, I am more than excited to join Charge Amps and to be a key part of its ongoing expansion throughout Europe.

“Charge Amps’ emphasis on premium product quality, its scalability, its culture of innovation, its true partner dedication, and, last but not least, the fantastic people at the company, make me join Charge Amps’ journey with great excitement and pleasure.”

Anders Bergtoft, CEO of Charge Amps, commented: “With the rise of energy technologies and with EV adoption rates soaring across Europe, this is a critical time for infrastructural evolution. Charge Amps is proud to be a leading provider of smart charging infrastructure across Europe. With Joke on board as chief commercial officer, we are confident her extensive automotive and EV sales experience will enable us to become even better in bringing the highest-quality products to our customers across the continent, and to further strengthen our rapid European expansion.”
