Christian Schüler appointed CEO of Athlon International

Christian Schüler has succeeded Gero Götzenberger as CEO of Athlon International with immediate effect.

Schüler was most recently president & CEO of Banco Mercedes-Benz do Brasil; a role he’s held since 2017. He has been with Daimler Mobility since 1996 and has held various management positions all around the globe in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

Schüler said: “Athlon has a tradition of over 100 years and I am very excited to join the fleet and mobility business at this point in time. I am looking forward to shaping our business together with the team to serve our customers in the best way.”

He assumes the Athlon CEO role as Gero Götzenberger joins Daimler Mobility in Stuttgart, Germany, as global head of strategy and transformation.
