Chrysler Australia and Grand Cherokee post strong October results

Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge sales for October 2011 were up by 173 units on last year to 937 (764 in 2010) as was YTD sales, at 9,434 compared to the same period last year (7,306 in 2010). Total market share was steady at 1.1% for October and 1.1% for 2011 YTD.

In retrospect of Chrysler Australia’s success throughout the month of October, the company were quick to praise the impact and positive reception received by their all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Luxury SUV managed to eclipse its nearest market competitor in October by 152 units with total unit sales of 403.  

Veronica Johns, general manager, National Sales at Chrysler Australia, said: ‘The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee just keeps on getting better – to be number one so soon after launch is a credit to the Grand Cherokee’s performance, design and pricing.’

‘The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is really striking a chord. We have had exceptional feedback from customers and dealers alike; it really is the best value premium SUV in the Australian market,’ concluded Ms Johns.
