City of Olympia implements integrated fleet management software from Chevin

By / 10 years ago / News / No Comments

The city maintains a diverse municipal fleet of approximately 450 pieces of equipment, fire apparatus and support vehicles. It previously used a financial management system to manage the fleet but found it inflexible and needed to effectively capture and store complete fleet related data centrally while supporting remote access for is departmental customers across the city.

The new system will allow the City of Olympia’s fleet management team to gain greater control over its operations by automating workshop repair and maintenance scheduling; provide enhanced integration with its fuelling systems, while streamlining the city’s monthly billing process.

Ron Katz, SVP North American sales at Chevin, said: “FleetWave’s uniquely configurable architecture will support the City of Olympia’s complex and very specific equipment management requirements, while allowing the fleet management team to improve preventive maintenance and compliance oversight.

“We’re excited to have the City of Olympia join our global client base and look forward to delivering fantastic results over the coming months and years.”
