Fleet operators at the Great British Fleet Event on 17 April will be able to meet up with BMW Group’s latest all-electric vehicles, experiencing their next-level electrification capabilities first-hand.

The BMW Group will showcase a select range of its vehicles at the next month’s Great British Fleet Event

The group started the large-scale production of an all-electric model, the BMW i3, for the first time in 2013. Since then, it’s dramatically moved the goalposts, continuing to write this success story.

Today, the company has at least one pure electric vehicle in all major model segments and is aiming to have more than two million fully electric vehicles on the road by the end of 2025. By 2030, it is anticipated that every second vehicle sold by the BMW Group worldwide will have an all-electric drive system.

At GBFE – which takes place at the Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes and is free to register for – the BMW Group will showcase a select range of its vehicles for fleets, including the newly revealed iX2.

Part of the second-generation X2 line-up, it’s the first time the crossover has included a fully electric iX2 variant. Available in two versions – the entry-level eDrive20 and the xDrive30 – it delivers up to 283 miles of range and the ability to recharge at up to 130kW DC via a public rapid charger, giving a 10-80% recharge in some 29 minutes.

The all-electric i5 Touring will also be at the show, again underscoring why the Group is a pioneer in sustainable mobility. Its many highlights include spectacular performance, epic electric range and an extraordinary level of comfort – all showing why it provides an unforgettable motoring experience while also blazing a trail for corporate sustainability objectives.

MINI will also be at the show, showcasing its work to help fleets guide their electrification strategies through revolutionary products such as the all-electric MINI Cooper, which lands this year with up to 249 miles of range (WLTP).

Matt Collins, General Manager, Corporate, Direct & Special Sales at BMW Group, said: “Our electric line-up continues to grow within the BMW Group in 2024 and the Great British Fleet Event gives us a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate our exceptional product to the fleet market.

“For BMW, we are delighted to showcase our new models, including the iX2 and the i5 Touring. Both are particularly attractive and affordable to fleet drivers with the iX2 eDrive20 and i5 Sport Edition variants.

“We are also excited to give attendees the chance to see the new MINI family. These models have been re-engineered from the ground up, allowing for bigger batteries and therefore much improved electric ranges.

“We’re pleased to be able to show a variety of BMW and MINI products at the event.”

Full details of the BMW Group show line-up are yet to be revealed – and GBFE attendees will have an exclusive opportunity to interact with these new models.
