Dennis Jensen appointed Fleet Logistics' country head for Nordics
His appointment forms part of the company’s restructuring and expansion plans, which were announced at the end of last year and come three months after German certification giant TÜV SÜD, acquired 100% of Fleet Logistics’ shares and assumed control of the company.
Fleet Logistics has already appointed four chief regional officers responsible for the company’s main European regions, with a series of individual country heads reporting into them.
Mr Jensen, who was with LeasePlan Denmark for 17 years in a variety of roles, will now report into Stuart Donnelly, chief regional officer for the UK and the Nordics (Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland).
He will be based at the Fleet Logistics Nordics head office in Malmo, Sweden, and will commute from his home in Copenhagen, as well as working out of Fleet Logistics’ Finland office in Helsinki.
‘We are delighted to appoint someone with Dennis’ vast experience of the European fleet and leasing market and look forward capitalising on that experience as we seek to continue to expand our Nordics business,’ said Mr Donnelly.
Fleet Logistics manages around 10,000 cars on behalf of international corporate customers in the region, a growing proportion of its total portfolio of 110,000 cars, and has plans to double the Nordic fleet in line with the group’s expansion targets over the next three years.
‘We are currently in discussions with a number of large fleets, both national and international in the region about the benefits of multi-bidding, which has been shown to reduce funding costs by 8-10%, and the opportunities that exist to revise various supply chain arrangements,’ added Mr Jensen.
Fleet Logistics’ CEO, Rainer Laber, said: ‘We see considerable growth opportunities within the four main countries of the Nordic region, where there are some large multi-national organisations domiciled in the region.
‘We believe that our new management team, led with energy and determination by Dennis, reporting directly to Stuart, will have the capability to achieve and deliver on our expansion plans for the region and for the business as a whole.’
