The Right Fuelcard Company has named former Axon Telematics’ CEO Domenico Mariconda as its new managing director as the company looks to expand into the wider fleet and mobility market.

The Right Fuelcard Company managing director Domenico Mariconda

Effective 4 November 2019, Mariconda replaces Adam Walsh, who moves on to a yet-to-be-announced venture, and will help develop the company’s customer base with existing solutions; the business offers a wide variety of fuel card solutions and telematics services for fleet managers.

The role will also see Mariconda tasked with bringing enhanced fleet services to The Right Fuelcard Company’s customers, enabling them to optimise control and cost management of their fleets. This will draw on the ‘Beyond fuel’ strategy, which was recently unveiled by parent firm Edenred in the framework of its Next Frontier strategic plan for 2019-2022, and position the company as a trusted partner for all fleet and mobility business needs.

Mariconda has held various sales and leadership positions in the automotive, financial services and telematics industries within Northern Europe, including his most recent role as CEO of Axon Telematics.

He will report to Antoine Dumurgier, COO, fleet & mobility solutions at Edenred, who commented: “We are delighted to welcome Domenico Mariconda at The Right Fuelcard Company and within the Edenred Group. His strong background and expertise in the automotive services industry, in particular in telematics, will be a key asset for The Right Fuelcard Company, in particular in the development of new services beyond fuel cards.”
