DS 4 gains three new engines & extra kit

Under the changes, the DS 4 gains a new petrol engine, the THP 165 S&S EAT6, and two new diesels, the BlueHDi 150 S&S 6-speed manual and the BlueHDi 180 S&S EAT6. The new units join the PureTech 130 and BlueHDi 120 units launched last November and bring more power and lower fuel consumption

Available with the new EAT6 6-speed automatic gearbox, the THP 165 S&S engine brings fuel consumption of 5.5l/100 km – a 29% improvement on the THP 160 – CO2 emissions of under 130g/km, and 240Nm of torque.

The BlueHDi 150 S&S 6-speed manual also raises the game, with 50Nm more torque, 25PS higher power, an a 20% cut in CO2 emissions and fuel consumption compared with the HDi 135. The new engine offers 3.9l/100 km of fuel, emissions of 100g/km of CO2 and torque of 370Nm; 20 to 70Nm more than its main rivals.?

The second new diesel unit for DS 4 to appear in 2015 is the Blue HDi 180 S&S EAT6, which brings 4.3l/100 km for 113g /km of CO2, and torque of 400Nm, said to be the highest in this vehicle category and up to 50Nm more than its main rivals.

The DS 4 also gains hands-free access and start-up (HFAS) and touch navigation with a new high-resolution 7-inch touch tablet that simplifies use of the satnav system and other functionalities
