Ebbon Group in business restructure ahead of new acquisitions
Automotive technology solutions provider Ebbon Group has restructured into three separate business areas to provide greater clarity of structure.
The group, which is planning a key acquisition in the next year, said the three newly branded business areas would more clearly define its aims and objectives alongside continued development and expansion of the business.
The trio of new divisions includes the Ebbon Automotive business area, comprising the group’s Leaselink e-procurement platform, its MoDel new vehicle delivery solution and the Stockviewer campaign management solution. It’s being headed up by newly appointed MD Justine Hawkins.
The other two business areas are Ebbon Compliance and Ebbon Intelligence. Ebbon Compliance comprises Derby-based Licence Check, acquired in 2018 and DriverCheck in Glasgow, bought last year. The two very distinct and separate firms create a business area said to be the clear UK market leader in fleet compliance.
Completing the triumvirate, Ebbon Intelligence is the group’s research and development arm, which has been established to develop innovative new products and solutions that tackle current and future issues facing the global automotive community. Underpinned by artificial intelligence technology, the business is currently working on new products that complement existing solutions, as well as exploring new areas of R&D.
To support the three business areas, Ebbon Group has appointed group technical director Steve Larkin, who has almost 20 years’ experience of working within the business.
Joint-CEO Robert Pilkington welcomed both Larkin and Hawkins to their new roles and added: “We believe our three newly branded business areas more clearly define our aims and objectives as we continue to develop and expand the business.”
Fellow joint-CEO Craig Gibbin stated: “While we will continue to focus on organic growth and the development of our international interests, we are also firmly set on a policy of strategic acquisition and fully expect to be able to make another key announcement within the next 12 months which fits seamlessly with the group’s ambitions.”
