Vehicle safety solutions that can help fleets tackle the new Highway Code changes are to be showcased by EchoMaster at this month’s Great British Fleet Event.

EchoMaster will take part in the Great British Fleet Event’s comprehensive exhibition section to spotlight how fleets can equip their vehicles to enhance road user safety

Introduced at the end of January, the Highway Code changes have made an impact on the commercial vehicle sector by giving greater priority to pedestrians and cyclists and requiring drivers of larger vehicles to give way to them when required.

As a result, many commercial fleets are now seeking out solutions to help their drivers overcome these new regulations through more comprehensive driving aids that provide clear visibility and warnings of vulnerable road users.

The Great British Fleet Event – taking place on 29 March 2022 at Novotel London West – will see EchoMaster take part in the show’s comprehensive exhibition section to spotlight how fleets can equip their vehicles to enhance road user safety.

EchoMaster is the leading video telematics and safety solutions brand of AAMP Global and has a long history of providing high-quality accurate safety solutions to the commercial sector. It designs, develops and manufactures cutting-edge connected vehicle safety products and solutions for a vast range of industry sectors.

At the Great British Fleet Event, Echomaster will showcase a whole host of vehicle safety solutions, including its Pedestrian Detection Cameras. These cameras were launched at the end of 2021 and have been designed to help drivers identify the most vulnerable road user. The CAM-PD range has built in AI-functionality, offering full HD 1080p resolution and colour-coded zone detection, allowing drivers to see in real time the most vulnerable road users within their blind spot.

A spokesperson commented: “No matter how large or small your fleet, EchoMaster are determined to service your business with the latest video telematics and road safety technology. Allowing you to train drivers, prevent and protect against claims and adhere to industry safety standards required by the newly updated Highway-Code, DVS (Direct Vision Standard) and even the new FORS 6.0 being introduced in July.”

EchoMaster is one of a number of firms taking part in the exhibition section at Great British Fleet Event. Other highlights of the show include an extensive conference programme (click here for full details) and the afternoon’s Great British Fleet Awards.
