The 52kWh lithium-ion battery replaces the previous 33kWh pack and bumps up the range from the current 120km (75 miles).

Available in both 3.1 and 3.5-tonne GVW, the updated electric Master also offers increased City Cycle range, up to 244km (152 miles) under WLTP regulations.

The new battery also enables faster charging and the Master Z.E. can now be 80% charged in two hours and reach a full charge in three hours.

As with its diesel counterpart, the electric Master is marketed under the Red Edition branding for Renault Trucks’ commercial vehicles, and comes equipped with specification dedicated to meet fleet needs.

Onboard equipment includes reversing cameras and a blind spot mirror, along with the Z.E. Voice alert system which warns pedestrians of the vehicle’s approach when it is travelling at less than 30km/h (19mph).

The Renault Trucks Master Z.E. is available in three models (van, chassis cab and platform cab) and offers a wide range of approved conversions including minibus, MEWP and OptiTipper.

Available in eight versions (three lengths and two heights), the vehicle is guaranteed for three years or 160,000km and the battery guaranteed for eight years or 160,000km.

The 52kWh Master Z.E. goes on sale from spring 2022 and enhances Renault Trucks’ Z.E. line-up, which runs from 3.1 to 26 tonnes.
