EU passenger car registrations up 8.6% in Q1, reports ACEA

The March data shows that 1,604,107 units were registered in March, up 10.6%. All major markets saw growth, especially Spain (+40.5%) and Italy (+15.1%), which posted double‐digit growth, followed by France (+9.3%), Germany (+9.0%) and the UK (+6.0%).

Q1 registrations totalled 3,527,704 units, up by 8.6%. All major markets posted growth, contributing to the overall upturn of the EU market. Registrations in Spain (+32.2%), Italy (+13.5%), France (+6.9%), the UK (+6.8%) and Germany (+6.4%) increased over this period.
