Europcar puts focus on international partner development

Europcar Mobility Group has created a new group director role focused on international partner development under plans to expand its brands and reach.

The new role will continue growing the Europcar, Goldcar, Ubeeqo and InterRent brands through franchising

Mark Lister has taken up the role, widening his existing responsibilities, and will continue enlarging the Europcar, Goldcar, Ubeeqo and InterRent brands through franchising, as well as helping to develop the global rent-a-car reservation platform and extend the alliance network currently operating in Canada, China, India and Japan.

The new position draws on Lister’s 16 years of experience in the car rental sector, starting in the UK with EuroDollar. He joined the Europcar Group in 2013 and became regional director – Europe & Central Asia for the Europcar franchise network, expanding this in recent years to take the lead of the group franchise network and then of the international alliances.

The latest developments are part of the group’s Connect plan, which advances solutions to customers’ new mobility needs and expectations through adapted offers and services, leveraging the businesses’ assets, in order to fully benefit from the post Covid-19 crisis market rebound in the coming years.
