Facelifted BMW 4 Series range revealed
BMW’s updated 4 Series range will bring refreshed styling and revised handling when it goes on sale this spring.
Comprising the Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe models, the latest 4 Series range will be showcased at this spring’s Geneva Motor Show and offers tweaked styling, bringing closer links to the BMW Concept 4 Series Coupe revealed in 2012, including elements such as a large air intake with eye-catching bars with LED headlights and rear lights. More bespoke 18 and 19-inch wheel choices are offered along with new exterior paint finishes.
The interior introduces new upgraded details, including electroplated detailing, an updated sports steering wheel and a high-gloss black cover panel for the centre console.
BMW has also updated the navigation, telephone connectivity, display and controls. The Professional navigation system, which comes as standard on M Sport trim, includes a new user interface.
The range also offers the Digital Cockpit as an option, providing a choice of different digital display options for the instrument cluster. This displays driving information for the chosen mode, covering Comfort, Eco Pro and Sport.
The Apple CarPlay smartphone interface is available as an option, allowing optimum integration of an Apple iPhone in the new BMW 4 Series models.
The updated range also features the BMW Connected personalised digital mobility assistant, which can be used in BMW models with ConnectedDrive Services specified. This comes as standard on the new BMW 4 Series models with the M Sport package or optionally available with the Professional navigation package.
Engine line-up brings three petrol engines (BMW 420i, BMW 430i and BMW 440i) and three diesel options (BMW 420d, BMW 430d, BMW 435d Xdrive).
The BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe is available in a further diesel variant – the BMW 418d.
The new BMW 4 Series models will be available from the start of production in March 2017.
