Facelifted Nissan Qashqai to bring ProPILOT autonomous driving tech
Nissan has taken the wraps off its facelifted Qashqai crossover, which brings updated design, new autonomous driving technology and a flagship Tekna+ grade.
On sale from July, the new model will be available with Nissan’s ProPILOT autonomous drive capability, which controls the steering, acceleration and braking in a single lane on highways.
Technology changes also see Pedestrian Recognition added to the Intelligent Emergency Braking while Rear Cross Traffic Alert is now available on Qashqai for the first time. The updated model also brings a new user interface for the NissanConnect infotainment system along with the option of a BOSE seven-speaker premium sound system.
Design changes bring a completely revised front end, including the latest Nissan ‘V-motion’ grille and revised headlamps featuring a new version of the ‘boomerang’ Daytime Running Light signature. The line-up also brings new 17, 18 and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Interior enhancements include a new range-topping Tekna+ grade with new seats trimmed in nappa leather, with luxury 3D quilting on the centre panels, plus a D-shaped multi-function steering wheel with premium satin-chrome inserts and a new four-way controller for the combimeter display.
The facelifted Qashqai also brings modifications to the suspension, damping and steering systems to refine comfort.
Engine line-up is carried over, with the current 113bhp 1.2 DIG-T and 161bhp 1.6 DIG-T petrols and the 108bhp 1.5-litre dCi and 128bhp 1.6-litre dCi diesels, with emissions from 99g/km.
