SmartWitness has appointed Fearghal MacGowan as managing director of EMEA.

Fearghal MacGowan joins SmartWitness with previous enterprise experience with companies such as Oracle, Cisco, and Huawei along with growth stage company experience from two companies which he founded and later sold.

In his new role, he will be responsible for the development of the SmartWitness EMEA and to grow the SmartWitness channel engagement strategy of the business. The company added that his indepth understanding of technology paired with his extensive knowledge of the channel partner ecosystem will aid in the rapid growth of the SmartWitness footprint throughout the region.

SmartWitness vice president Aaron Kim said: “We are very excited to add Fearghal MacGowan to our leadership team. We believe that he will bring a fresh viewpoint to the organization and his customer-centric approach aligns well with our core values. I expect to see rapid expansion throughout EMEA with his contributions.” 

Due to the addition of Fearghal MacGowan to the team, managing director and co-founder Paul Singh will step down from his position to pursue ventures adjacent to the industry.

He will also continue to work with SmartWitness by providing voice of the customer feedback to help guide development and programmes.
