Final Nissan concept for Tokyo is 1360hp electric supercar
Nissan has unveiled an all-electric high-performance supercar concept at the Japan Mobility Show, potentially previewing the next-generation Nissan GT-R.
The brand’s fifth and final concept for the Tokyo show is “designed for racing enthusiasts and gamers who crave the adrenaline rush of the racetrack but are also eco-conscious”.
The Hyper Force concept produces 1,360hp of power and features an advanced form of Nissan’s e-4orce all-wheel control technology, plus a new all-solid-state battery.
It also features a lightweight body with high-strength carbon and is said to offer enhanced cornering and exceptional handling on circuits and winding roads. Two driving modes are available: ‘R’ (racing) and ‘GT’ (grand touring).
It joins the Nissan concepts already previewed for Tokyo, which include a crossover for content creators, an urban crossover, a rugged sports SUV for outdoor enthusiasts and a people carrier with fully autonomous driving technology.
Nissan president and CEO Makoto Uchida said: “All five concept cars showcased today are symbols of the future and embody our founding spirit of ‘daring to do what others don’t’. We have advanced our EV innovations, moving beyond mobility to create a more sustainable world. The EVs symbolise our future of creating a cleaner, safer, and more inclusive world for everybody without compromising on passions and dreams. Through the power of innovation, Nissan is creating a future where everyone can enjoy the excitement of mobility.”
