Eqstra Fleet Management (EFM) has been operating within the South African market for over 27 years and has an owned and managed fleet in excess of 40,000 vehicles and an asset base of over R1.6bn (€138m).

To help with the roll-out of its rental management service, EFM has fully implemented Fleetondemand’s on-demand rental management software, which has been customised and internationalised to meet its needs.

Murray Price, managing director at EFM, said: ‘We are extremely excited by this new opportunity. We see that rental management for corporate customers is a key element in the UK leasing market and are confident that it can be replicated in South Africa. The Fleetondemand Rental Management software offers us a quick route to market and early adopter advantage. There are no other comparable systems in the market and with their management team’s expertise and passion, Fleetondemand were the clear partners of choice for EFM.’

Fleetondemand says it’s witnessed rapid growth since its launch 18 months ago, supported by a customisable web technology framework, which can be delivered across desktop or any mobile device.

Justin Whitston, chief executive at Fleetondemand, said: ‘We are delighted to be working with EFM and to have them as our first international customer. They have a strong vision for the South African fleet management and leasing market and we are looking forward to creating other innovative products with them in the future.  We have always strongly believed that our software would have a global reach and we now have that evidence.’
