FOD Mobility Group opens new HQ to support UK and European expansion
Tech firm FOD Mobility Group has opened a new, larger headquarters to support its accelerated growth in the UK and Europe.
The result of a “significant investment”, the four-storey Waterfront Building is situated close to the River Aire near Saltaire Village in Yorkshire, a designated UNSECO World Heritage site.
The new people-centric workspace replaces its previous HQ on nearby Ashley Lane, home to the business for the past 10 years, and has been specifically designed to facilitate FOD’s flexible workplace strategy. This focuses on culture, creativity, innovation, wellbeing, and supports hybrid working with blended in-person and remote collaboration.
The move coincides with a period of rapid growth for the business, which includes significant investment in a recruitment drive this year, and the recent launch of two new office locations in Ireland and Germany. The firm also plans to expand its presence throughout Europe over the next 12 months with the launch of additional offices in France, Belgium, Spain and Holland.
FOD Mobility Group has also experienced significant financial growth recently, featuring in this year’s Financial Times’ FT 1000 list of Europe’s fastest growing companies with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 57%. The firm was also recognised as one of the top 100 fastest-growing technology companies at the Northern Tech awards in June, with CEO and founder Justin Whitston winning the Judges’ Entrepreneur award.
Whitston commented on the move: “With a number of new recruits joining our team this year and more to follow, we needed a new HQ, and the Waterfront office was a perfect fit. The open plan space provides a more flexible and collaborative work environment for our people that fosters connections and creativity when they are on site and supports our flexible workplace strategy.
“We have some exciting times ahead of us and this move underlines our focus on attracting and retaining the most talented people in the industry, enabling us to provide market-leading mobility solutions that continue to meet the needs of our ever-growing customer base in the UK and overseas.”
