Frankfurt Motor Show: New Volkswagen Caddy BlueMotion to deliver 4.5l/100km

By / 11 years ago / News / No Comments

The Caddy BlueMotion offers a low fuel consumption of 4.5 litres per 100 km for the panel van – down by 1.1 litres per 100km compared to the current Caddy BlueMotion – along with emissions of 117g/km. Meanwhile the passenger-carrying version are 4.6 litres and 119g/km.

The new model uses VW’s familiar 102hp 1.6-litre TDI with common rail direct injection along with aerodynamic and engineering measures such as an engine stop-start function, low rolling resistance tyres, recovery of braking energy (battery regeneration), ride height lowered by 27mm and efficient engine control.

A Caddy BlueMotion with a short wheelbase is available in four equipment versions: as a panel van and kombi as well as in passenger-carrying versions.
